Shipping Policy/Disclaimer
Thank you for trusting Shared Soil! Your support means the world to our small business.
Shipping Timeline
Orders are processed and shipped the following Monday from when they were placed. This ensures that packages don’t end up sitting over weekends or holidays at shipping facilities. Please note, however, that processing times can vary! We will always take into account extreme weather and holiday timing to make sure that your plants have the best chance at arriving as healthy and happy as possible.
Shipping Method
Our default shipping method is USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days). Shipping can be upgraded to USPS Express (1-3 business days) at checkout.
Shipping Delays & Damage Policy
Should your order experience delays in shipping due to the carrier/shipping company, Shared Soil will not be held liable for damaged plants. We take pride in carefully and meticulously preparing your plants for travel. If the weather in your area is poor, you won’t be home to receive your order when it arrives, or you suspect a holiday may influence shipping, we recommend waiting until a better time. That being said, we are here to help! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you experience any issues with your order.
We have a 24-hour return policy, which means you have 24 hours after receiving your item to request a return. Be sure to take a video of the unboxing of your order in case there are issues. To be eligible for a return, you must show proof with an unboxing video that the item was damaged upon arrival. Without an unboxing video to prove the order arrived damaged, we will be unable to help. Additionally, if you are requesting a refund, we require that you upgraded your shipping to USPS Express when the order was placed. We are looking to see you took every precaution possible!
Pest Disclaimer
To mitigate the risk of pests, please quarantine your new plants no matter where you get them from (big box stores, small businesses, and even independent sellers in your community). It is up to you to protect your own collection by quarantining new plants and treating them as you see fit before placing them into your collection. Luckily, our plants carry minimal risk since many of them are grown in closed, sterile conditions before transplanting to soil, and we routinely check these plants for pests regardless. Nonetheless, by purchasing a plant from us you are acknowledging that plant-keeping comes with the risk of pests. Quarantining, preventative pest management, and proper spacing of your plants will help you avoid a stressful pest situation regardless of where you find your next treasured addition to your plant collection.
